To celebrate the nomination of our grant proposal for state funding, SDR Park Alliance hosted its first cleanup. Volunteers picked up trash, planted ground cover, and mulched the gardens around Hester Street Playground.  We were bowled over by the enthusiasm - between 50 and 75 volunteers showed up. Young people who grew up in Chinatown showed up to give back to their community.
