Brian Chin is a third-generation Chinese-American, whose family has a long and storied history in the New York City Chinatown community. His grandparents, Kent and Kee Mee Mui Yuen, immigrated to the Chinatown area in the 1920s, and have had an established presence there ever since. Brian is a founding board member of the SDR Park Alliance, and has been a faculty member of Harvard University since 2018, with a focus on teaching Diversity and Asian-American Studies. Having worked and lived in the area, he understands the important role that Sara D. Roosevelt Park has always had for the surrounding community, and is dedicated towards its continued upkeep.
