Born and raised in New York City by two Chinese immigrants, Amy Yan is a recent Hunter College graduate with a strong Biological Science background. Her volunteering experience at Gouverneur Hospital in 2015 exposed her to healthcare inequity in underserved communities, igniting her commitment to gaining medical experience and assisting those in need. Amy's aspirations lie in a medical career, where she aims to serve diverse populations. Additionally, she actively volunteers in her community and advocates for accessible public spaces, engaging with the Sara D. Roosevelt Park Alliance for park improvement and safety.
